MEET DR HOANG

Dr Kim Lien Hoang graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1991 from the School of Dentistry at Oregon Health Sciences University. She has practiced dentistry in Portland for more than 16 years and been in private practice as the owner of Terwilliger Dental since 1994.

Dr Hoang grew up in Seattle, Washington. She moved to Oregon in 1985 to begin her undergraduate studies at OHSU and has lived in Oregon ever since. Dr Hoang first obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from OHSU, but her love of Dentistry, for learning, and of caring for patients prompted her to continue her education at OHSU where she completed her studies and earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine.

Dr Hoang is active in the community and donates her time and clinical skills to numerous worthy programs and local Charities including: The Crestin School – to provide dental exams and treatment to underprivileged children in the Portland School District. The Multnomah Dental Society - to provide dental exams and treatment to underprivileged children in Multnomah County. Also for more than a decade, Dr has volunteered her time & skills as an on-call Emergency Dental Services Provider for the Multnomah County.

In her personal life, Dr Hoang stays very active. She has trained for and successfully completed 2 marathons, the Portland & the Honolulu. With husband David and their son Tyler, all enjoy a family life that includes many regular activities in Portland, at the Oregon Coast, in Central Oregon, and in the Mountains including; biking, hiking, boating, fishing, skiing, or just relaxing together by a fire with a good book to read.

Dr Hoang is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah Dental Society.
